Community art projects
I am interested in working with communities and people from diverse backgrounds to create meaningful experiences of art making. My pedagogical approach is to try and facilitate non-hierarchical encounters between artist and participant where both parties learn from each other. I believe that artists have just as much to learn from their audience and am inspired by what I learn from working with diverse community groups.
I am always enthusiastic to work with community groups on projects or to facilitate workshops. My teaching experience ranges from kindergarten age children through to undergraduate level students, adults, diverse cultural groups, people with disability, people experiencing homelessness, age care patients and people diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. To contact me about my services leave a message under the Contact heading on this website.
